Check Out One Of My Favorite Songs From Cross Canadian Ragweed
Cross Canadian Ragweed has always been one of my favorite bands. Unfortunately, they aren’t still making music as a band. They went their separate ways back in 2010. However, that doesn’t make me stop listening to their music. I had their essential playlist on the other day, and the song I’m featuring this week came on. Of course, I had to crank it up!
Have You Ever Heard Of Cross Canadian Ragweed?
If not, I think you’re in for a treat. I’ve loved these guys ever since the early 2000s. I guess you would mostly consider them a “red dirt band”. That means they’re from the Texas/Oklahoma area. There is a huge music scene out there. A lot of artists make it big in Texas and Oklahoma, and can make a very nice living just touring that region.
Ragweed never really made it “mainstream”, but their music is so good! Honestly, I think they were ahead of their time. If they were making music in 2024, I think they would be much bigger than they were in the early and mid 2000s. The country music landscape has changed a lot since then, some for the better and some for the worse lets be honest.
The guys of Cross Canadian Ragweed released seven albums between 1998 and 2009. My favorites are their self titled album from 2002, “Soul Gravy” from 2004 and “Garage” from 2005. If you really want the best of Ragweed, those are the albums you want to check out.
