Luke Bryan’s Son Is Ready for Deer Hunting Season
Luke Bryan often sings about hunting and fishing and growing up in rural Georgia. There’s no doubt the singer is an avid and passionate hunter and looks forward to the season every year. He recently shared how excited his son is for deer season and how Tate is preparing.
Luke told us in a recent interview, “Tate is so focused on deer hunting. It’s not even deer season, and he’s been just sitting in a deer stand with no weapon. I’m like, son, what are you doing? I just want to see the deer.'”
The country superstar added with pride, “I’m like, ‘Buddy, that is music to my ears.'”
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) manages deer hunting seasons and provides information for legal hunting. The season runs through October 26–27 and January 11–12.

Bryan recently reflected on the importance of living a life full of experiences worth writing an album about.
Luke told us, “I rarely just lay inside on the couch and watch a day of football or sports. I mean, my thing is when I’m at home, I’m riding around the farm, I’m working on boats, I’m organizing my tackle shop, I’m getting ready for the next hunting or fishing trip or messing with my golf clubs. And then I got boys standing there with me the whole time, relining fishing reels. As long as I can be at home, you know. Yeah, I mean, when I moved to Nashville, my dad goes, make sure you don’t forget about your hobbies and what you love, and I never have.”
He continued, “There are times that I work hard and don’t get a chance to go on a hunting trip or a fishing trip or something like that. But now I’m a little bit older and can start being a little more stingy with my time, with being at home with the family and the kids and going, doing stuff in the outdoors, whether my children are with me or not, or running down playing a little 18 holes of golf in the morning, then coming back to the house and cooking dinner.”
The country superstar concluded, “You gotta keep living a full life of inspirational things. And I’m always knocking around the farm, relining fishing reels, getting bows and stuff packed for my next bow hunting trip. So just… Staying busy and hopefully living gives you more ideas.”
