Let’s Go Back In Time With This Classic Randy Travis Song

Let’s go to the late 1980s with a Randy Travis song this week. Randy released a bunch of awesome songs in the 80s, 90s and even 2000s. However, if you asked me what my favorite song of his is, it would definitely be this one. It just hits me every time I hear it. When you think of classic country, this song falls right into that catagory.

This Randy Travis Song Is Country Gold

This Randy Travis song came out in 1987 on Randy’s “Always & Forever” album. That album also featured the hits “Too Gone Too Long” and the iconic “Forever and Ever, Amen”. In the late 80s, Randy was on fire! He was giving us hit after hit, and this song was one of his biggest. This song even made a resurgence in 2007 when Carrie Underwood covered it.

Randy has been in the news a lot recently. There is a new Randy Travis song that came out last week. It was done completely with AI, or artificial intelligence. The song was written by a couple of Nashville songwriters, and over 40 of Randy’s songs were used to create this new track. It’s a great song called “Where That Came From”. If you haven’t heard it yet, you can hear it here.

One thing this new song has done is it’s gotten people interested in Randy’s music again. His “Greatest Hits” albums are all over the iTunes and streaming charts again, and I think that’s awesome! Anything that exposes the new generation to great country music, I’m all about it!

Sometimes it’s hard to pick a favorite songs by an artist, but this is definitely my favorite Randy Travis song.
