Lainey Wilson, Miranda Lambert Tease New ‘Horses’ Duet
Lainey Wilson and Miranda Lambert got together in Nashville this week to film a fun video about their upcoming duet, “Good Horses.” While we aren’t sure if it’s Miranda’s barn or Lainey’s, the country queens (both donning cowboy hats) are standing by a horse named “Cool” to convey a message to fans about their new duet.
Standing on each side of the horse, Lainey says, “Well, you already know that this one (song) is going to be on my new Whirlwind record.” Lambert adds, “We’re gonna share ‘Good Horses’ with you all on August 2, so come on.” Wilson says, ‘Cool’s excited, and so are we.’
The country star captioned the post on Instagram, “Our new song “Good Horses” will be y’all’s come this FRIDAY, August 2nd!”
Wilson played in Las Vegas in December at The Theater at the Virgin Hotel. During the performance, Lainey surprised the crowd by bringing out what she called her “Ride or Die”: Miranda Lambert. The two sang Lambert’s big smash, “Kerosene.”
The superstars sang the then never heard of new duet that they wrote together. Lainey told the crowd, introducing it, “This song is so, so special, and you can hear her all over it. She helped me write the song, and I’m so proud of the song; we hope you love it.”
The song talks about cowboys and love and is called “Good Horses Don’t Roam.” The chorus of the song’s lyrics are, “I don’t need the map/ I don’t need a road / I don’t need a fence / I just need to know / if you want to love me / you don’t need to rope / you just need to know/ I don’t need a compass / I don’t need a saddle / let go of the reins baby, let me unravel / If you want to love me / you don’t need to rope/ you just need to know / Good Horses come home,”

Wilson enjoyed another career highlight weekend when she played the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo in Wyoming and brought her parents, Brian and Michelle, along for the ride.
Lainey shared the memory on her Instagram with a bunch of photos of her and her parents, along with an official rodeo belt buckle she was given and a throwback photo of herself when she was younger with her horse at the famous rodeo.
Wilson captioned the post, “@chefrontierdays (blue heart emoji) We found a pot of country gold at the end of the rainbow. My cowgirl heart could explode. What a full circle moment for me and my rodeo family…swipe to see a throwback.”
