The 2024 Spring Greek Festival Is Back

The Spring Greek Festival, One of Augusta's most loved festivals is back for 2024. The Spring Greek Festival is making its return Friday, May 10th - Sunday 12th. The fun runs from 11 am till 8 pm on Friday and Saturday and from 11 am till 6 pm on Sunday. The Foods Of The Spring Greek Festival We all love The Spring Greek Festival for many reasons, the weather is normally perfect, it's a time to get out with friends and family to have a good time, listen to some great music, watch great Greek dancing, and maybe have a cold one, but let's be honest, it's all about the food. Here are some of the foods you can expect to find at The Spring Greek Festival Gyro's-seasoned beef or lamb served on a pita with tomatoes, lettuce, onion, and tzatziki sauce Lamb Sandwich-Seasoned Leg Of Lamb on a bun Chicken Souvlaki-Tender marinated kabobs chargrilled on pita bread with tomatoes, lettuce, onions and tzatziki sauce Feta Fries-Fried potatoes sprinkled with a special blend of Greek seasoning and feta cheese Now Let's Not Forget The Desserts Traditional Baklava Chocolate Baklava Cheesecake Baklava Pastes Mickey Almond Crescent Kataifi Or you can get a mixed box of all your favorites to take with you or eat there, it's totally up to you. The Greek fun happens at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 953 Telfair Street, Augusta Georgia 30901. I've never had a Gyro until about 10 years ago and I had my first at the Greek Festival. Now it's an all-time favorite of mine. Time with friends and family just doesn't happen enough, but The Spring Greek Festival is a great reason to gather. The date for the big fall Greek festival hasn't been announced yet, but they do this again in the fall and it's even bigger with TVs to catch all the football games, more food, and more shopping. If you've never been to the Greek Festival in the Spring or The Fall, and not sure what all the foods are, just ask any of the workers, they will be happy to explain the food, what's in the food and what the taste flavor will be like. So if you see me at the Spring Greek Festival all 3 days, just mind ya own business. LOL. This is one of my favorite events each spring and fall.
