Reba McEntire loves Christmas and releasing Christmas albums. In fact, she has done so four times in her career, releasing her first Christmas album Merry Christmas To You, in 1987. This year (2022), she released  Reba: The Ultimate Christmas Collection, which is a collection of Christmas songs she has released through the years. The new work includes only one new song, "I Needed Christmas," released in 2021 from her Lifetime TV movie, Reba McEntire's Christmas In Tune.

Here are Reba's best Christmas songs.

12. "Away in a Manger" (1987's Merry Christmas To You album)

Reba perfectly sings this 1882 Christmas carol. It's the very first song on her first Christmas album.

11. "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)" (1987's Merry Christmas To You album)

Reba delivers this classic flawlessly and makes you yearn to put on some slippers next to a Christmas tree, sitting in front of the fire.

10. "Mary, Did You Know?" (with Vince Gill & Amy Grant) (2017's Re-issue My Kind of Christmas)

This is a holiday classic, and with Vince Gill and Amy Grant's voices blending so effortlessly with Reba's, it is one of the best versions of this popular song.

9. "The Christmas Guest" (1987's Merry Christmas To You album)

This fantastic story song about a special Christmas guest was written by Grand Ole Opry member Grandpa Jones. Johnny Cash first recorded it.

8. "Santa Claus Is Coming Back to Town" (1999's The Secret of Giving: A Christmas Collection album)

A great story song of Christmas sung by one of music's best storytellers.

7. "Jingle Bell Rock" (2016's My Kind of Christmas)

Reba can rock, and her version of this fun classic gets you up and on your feet for sure.

6. "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" (1999's The Secret of Giving: A Christmas Collection album)

This is such a fun song, and as Reba sings it, it sounds like she wrote it and makes it her very own adding her son Shelby's name into the song. The song was written by Tommy Boyd in the 1950s and sung by his 13-year-old son Jimmy Boyd in 1953.

5. "O Come All Ye Faithful" (2016's My Kind of Christmas)

Reba's version of this song brings me to church every time I hear it.

4. "O Little Town of Bethlehem" (with Darius Rucker) (2017's Re-issue My Kind of Christmas)

Reba and Darius sound great together and bring new life to this song, which was written almost 150 years ago.

3. "Hard Candy Christmas" (2016's My Kind of Christmas)

No one can sing this song like Dolly Parton can, but Reba comes close and offers a great version of the Parton Christmas staple.

2. "O Holy Night" (1987's Merry Christmas To You album)

Reba's version of "O' Holy Night" was my favorite for years and years since the first time I heard it in the late 1980s.

1. "Silent Night" (with Kelly Clarkson and Trisha Yearwood) (2017's Re-issue My Kind of Christmas)

These three voices together make this song the top of my list for obvious reasons. The addition of Kelly and Trisha to this hymn gives me chills.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
