Luke Bryan’s birthday is today. So I thought it would be appropriate to share some of my favorite memories with Luke from over the years here in the CSRA. We’ve been very fortunate to spend quite a bit of time with Luke over the past almost twenty years. He’s played pretty much every venue here in the area, I’m sure most of y’all have seen Luke at least once.
Luke Bryan Is No Stranger To Kicks Country
I can remember when Luke Bryan came to the station for the first time as a new artist. He gave us an early copy of his first album, which featured his debut single “All My Friends Say”. So when I say we go way back with Luke, you know it’s true. With it being Luke Bryan’s birthday, let’s go back and list all of the times Luke has played here in Kicks Country over the years.
Luke played A Day In The Country back in 2007. He also played at The Country Club a couple of times. I can remember when Luke played a show at the old Columbia County Amphitheater with Lady A. It was the biggest crowd that had ever seen a show there up to that point. Luke Bryan is a Guitar Pull veteran, he’s played the show three times. Also Luke played a sold out show at the old James Brown Arena with Jason Aldean. And he brought his Farm Tour to Edgefield back in 2018.
See what I mean when I say Luke is no stranger to Kicks Country.
One of my favorite memories with Luke happened in the mid 2000s. He needed a place to do a bunch of interviews with other radio stations around the country. Luke asked us if he could use one of our studios, of course we said yes! So Luke Bryan was hanging out in our building for several hours, and he couldn’t have been nicer.
