Country fans have loved following the stories of superstar couples since the days of George Jones and Tammy Wynette, who were married in 1969. The couple divorced just a few years after they wed, but country music and power couples have been a thing for fans ever since.

Flash forward to 2023, and country music couples are still a big deal, with Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill still leading the way decades into their careers. There is just something fascinating about two hugely successful celebrities sharing their lives. Garth told us just last week that when you are a celebrity couple, you have to be careful for one not to “swallow” the other and keep things a bit separate in your respective careers.

Kane Brown and his wife Katelyn recently became the first husband and wife to top the charts with their duet “Thank God” since Tim and Faith topped the charts together with their smash “It’s Your Love” in 1997. For years, photographers have been asking country stars to share a kiss with their significant others on red carpets for the cameras.

According to National Today, kissing is all about showing your love and improving your health. That’s right; kissing is actually good for you. Kissing relieves stress burns calories, and benefits your immunity.

Fun fact: Kissing is a form of communication. We use it to show love or, in some cultures, as a greeting. The running theory on the evolution of the kiss is based on our natural instinct to share food — similar to how many mammals feed their young.

On this National Kissing Day (6/22), we gathered some great photos of country stars, either power couples or just country superstars and their spouses locking lips.
