I just returned from a business trip to Detroit and saw some pretty cool things that I thought I would share with you!
First, it was the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation. I saw President Kennedy’s limo, which was the same limo he was in when he was assassinated in Dallas. We found out after Kennedy’s death, that the limo had a hardtop installed on it and although other presidential parade cars were built in 1968 and 1972, it was still used occasionally by Presidents Johnson, Nixon, Ford, and Carter. Find out more on the limo here.
Also, other Presidential limos, locomotives, an airplane, and many other things including a Texaco station! And, even a Holiday Inn motel room!
We spent a few hours in the museum and still didn’t see all of it. I was blown away by the talent and brainpower it took to come up with these American machines of all shapes and sizes over the years.
If you’re ever in Detroit, I would encourage you to check it out. It’s about a 20-minute drive from downtown Detroit. Hope you enjoy the pictures from the museum below!
