These are some of the funniest country songs ever. One of the things I love about country music is that the songs can be serious, but they can also be funny. Songwriters in country music literally can do it all. Country is just so relatable, which is one of the reasons I think it’s one of the most popular genres of music.
Country songs usually tell a story, and sometimes that story is funny. The folks at Yardbarker.com recently came up with a list of some of the more humorous country songs. They include some classics, as well as some newer songs. Before we get into the bigger list, let’s look at a few others.
- “I Don’t Even Know Your Name” by Alan Jackson. This song is from the mid-90s and even featured comedian Jeff Foxworthy in the music video.
- “Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo” by Tracy Byrd. I think the title pretty much tells you what the subject matter of this song is. It’s one of my favorite Tracy Byrd songs.
- “Did I Shave My Legs For This” by Deana Carter. It’s a song about a woman just trying to get her man to notice her more than the game.
- “You’re The Reason Our Kids Are Ugly” by Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn. I don’t think I even need to explain this song, just the title makes it funny.
