George Strait Admits His Band Will Never Be The Same After Death Of Drummer
Yesterday, we reported George Strait’s drummer had passed away at the age of 59.
As previously reported, Mike Kennedy died on August 31 outside of Nashville — After being involved in a three car accident.
At the time news surfaced of Mike Kennedy’s passing, George Strait had not publicly issued a statement regarding the heartbreaking loss.
Now, According to Saving Country Music, the country legend has issued a statement about Kennedy’s passing.
Strait said the loss is hard to describe and ultimately affects everyone — Kennedy’s friends, family, fans, and band.
George also said performing on stage again without Kennedy is going to be extremely difficult — Especially since they’ve shared the stage together since 1983.
He admitted his band will never be the same again. Not only did they lose a band member, but they lost an incredibly loyal friend.
