Lets go back to 2005 and a very VERY hot August afternoon at Fort Gordon's Barton Field for this pic. Yes that's me (and the infamous black hat that I'd never been seen in public without) and yes the girl behind those HUGE shades is Miranda Lambert! Miranda was in town opening for Montgomery Gentry. Sorry the quality isn't what we're used to now, this was a first generation digital camera (floppy disc and all). I hope you're enjoying these little weekly trips down memory lane.

Bryan “Dub” Axelson is the host of the Kicks Wake Up Krew on KICKS 99 and has been with Beasley Media Group in Augusta for over 20 years. He got his start in radio by being a regular caller on the Kicks 99 morning show. He was soon hired and has worked in various roles in Augusta, including Promotions Director.
