Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood Shine In Elvis Tribute on NBC
NBC’s Elvis Presley All-Star Tribute aired on Sunday night on NBC, the same network that aired the original Elvis Comeback Special in December of 1968.
The show kicked off with Elvis performing on the ’68 special and trading licks and lyrics with Blake Shelton on “Trouble” and “Guitar Man.” Later in the show, Shelton performed “Suspicious Minds” one of Elvis biggest hits released in 1969.
Shelton posted to socials on Sunday.
Keith Urban performed two songs on the special: “Burning Love” on his own and a duet with Post Malone on “Baby, What You Want Me to Do.” Before the show aired on Sunday, Keith posted to Instagram.
Other highlights included:
Native Tennessean Kelsea Ballerini performed “Always on My Mind”; she pointed out that Willie Nelson also scored a hit with the song ten years after Elvis did.
Darius Rucker also brought the boxing ring stage to a thriving pulse performing Elvis’ “One Night.” Darius posted earlier that day:
Mac Davis shared memories of going to Elvis’ house in Los Angeles and Presley showing him the new baby Lisa Marie Presley. He then sang a song of Elvis’ that he wrote “Memories.”
Little Big Town belted out “Are You Lonesome Tonight” like a brand new song. According to their socials on Sunday they were clearly excited to be a part of the Tribute To The King Of Rock and Roll.
Miranda Lambert and the Pistol Annies sang a powerful “Love Me.”

Mac Davis, Post Malone, Little Big Town, Darius Rucker & Blake Shelton sang a hits medley that included such classics as “That’s All Right,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” and “Blue Suede Shoes.”
Then, Carrie Underwood joined Yolanda Adams for a medley of Elvis’ finest Gospel favorites like “How Great Thou Art,” “He Touched Me,” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
Elvis’ own Granddaughter actress Riley Keough introduced Dierks Bentley as he sang an amazing “Little Sister.” He took to socials earlier in the day to share his Elvis Tribute special experience.
Carrie Underwood joined Elvis, Shawn Mendes, Post Malone, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton in the tribute to Elvis on “If I Can Dream.”
The show was taped in October 2018.
