Alex Trebek Has Announced Who He Wants To Replace Him On Jeopardy!
Alex Trebek is letting the world know who he wants to replace him on Jeopardy! Per Yahoo, in a recent interview, the talk show host pointed out that he has no say in who would replace him on the hit show, but if he did, he’d choose Betty White.
Trebek joked that his longtime friend would be perfect for the job “because they want somebody younger, somebody funnier, … she checks all those boxes.” He adds, “It’s probably going to be a woman, somebody younger, somebody bright, somebody personable, somebody with a great sense of humor.”
The outlet explains that Trebek has previously mentioned more serious candidates, like CNN’s Laura Coates, LA Kings announcer Alex Faust, and TCM’s Ben Mankiewicz.
Hopefully, an Alex Trebek replacement isn’t happening soon as his Jeopardy! contract goes through 2022.
