BridgeWay Station In Simpsonville, South Carolina For Unique Dining and Shopping
On Saturday, my fiancé, David, and I decided to hop on our Harley and take a little day trip. The main place he wanted to check out was Timms Harley-Davidson in Anderson, South Carolina. After that, we were wondering where else to go when I asked him how far away BridgeWay Station was.
Turns out, BridgeWay Station was just 30 minutes or so from where we were, so we set the GPS, and headed on over there. BridgeWay Station is a place that David had seen on TikTok and thought it would be cool to check out. After he told me about it, I looked it up on Instagram and agreed.
BridgeWay Station – Simpsonville, South Carolina
BridgeWay Station is located at 1000 Via Corso Avenue in Simpsonville. It’s a fairly new development, where some of the shops and restaurants open around the end of 2023. The design of this place is very unique. It almost looks like a castle. While we did want to check out some of the shops and dining options, we mostly enjoyed walking around to see the full place.
When you arrive, you see the beautiful buildings, with watch towers and peaks. Off to the right is another building that has some of the same aesthetics as the main area. That building houses apartments. It’s joined to the main buildings by a bridge.
We walked around the perimeter of the main area and only walked into one boutique called Plum. There were some restaurants open, including a coffee shop and an Italian Ice shop. They also have a nail salon that is located on the bottom level of the apartment building.
After exploring the area, we wanted to find somewhere to eat. We noticed a pub that was open, then a door in the middle that had a few places listed, and a burger place off to the right. We chose the middle door, just to get an idea of what options we had.
We were surprised to find that going in the middle door, all of the restaurants were connected! It was almost like a food court at a mall, but a bit fancier. There was the pub, then some smaller walk-up counters for pizza, chicken, and a baked potato bar, and then the burger place. We walked over to the burger place to check out the menu and decided to give it a try.
Lunch At Bourbon St. Burger
Bourbon St. Burger at BridgeWay Station has what you might expect at a burger place, but they have gourmet burgers and unique cocktails. One of their burgers is the doughnut burger, where the bun is a grilled glazed doughnut. I ordered a house margarita and was surprised to find it had a pineapple taste to it. Thankfully, I love pineapple, so I really enjoyed it.
For food, I ordered one of their BridgeWay Smash Burgers with cheese and bacon. Instead of the house chips, I chose fries for my side. David ordered a Philly cheese steak sandwich with fries. We were both pleasantly surprised at the portion sizes and both enjoyed our meals.
What Is BridgeWay Station?
When you check out the website for BridgeWay Station, you’ll see they describe it as “A way better New Town Center in Upstate South Carolina.” They also consider it where the city meets the suburbs.
BridgeWay Station is what they consider something unique that’s never been seen before. They describe it as “a walkable, downtown Main Street in the heart of the fastest-growing community in Greenville, at a price and value you can’t get anywhere else.”
You can live, work, and play all within this community. There are places to eat, drink, workout, and more. There’s even a rooftop pool. It seems like a very unique place to live. And it’s absolutely beautiful.
It’s a really unique place to visit, just for a day trip. A great place for fun photos too! I look forward to giving it a few more months as they finish developing more of the restaurants and shops before we visit again.
