A Peak Behind The Curtain – Backstage At Guitar Pull Before The Show

Another Kicks 99 Guitar Pull is in the books!  This year's show is a little bittersweet since it will be the last Guitar Pull at the James Brown Arena.  But what a great show it was!  Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the show. And a huge thank you to everyone who helps put this show together each year.  Check out some photos from backstage at Guitar Pull 2023 below!

There are months of preparation that go into making a show like Guitar Pull happen. Finding the artists to play the show starts pretty much when this year's show is over.  Tee and Chris O'Kelley work hard to make each show the best it can be.  And then there's our sales team who gather sponsors and set up all those ticket stops for you guys to win tickets.

Once we announce the show each year, then it's game on for the Kicks team.  We spend a couple of months out and about giving away tickets, and building excitement for the show. And before we know it, November is here and it's show time!

Getting everything down to the arena and prepping for the show takes a few days.  Our road crew and volunteers went down to the arena on Friday to start stuffing the goody bags and putting them on all the seats.  They spent Friday, Saturday, and Monday at the arena making sure everything was set up and ready for you.

Then the big day arrives.  The sound crew starts their set up.  Last-minute things are done.  The live broadcast area is set up.  And then the artists start arriving and the day we've been waiting so long for flies by!  There's so much going on and it's such a great time... but it goes by too fast.
