Every year we have to hit the Columbia County Fall Fair, it's a tradition in our house. Well, my wife and I took our daughter yesterday, and we had a blast! I'll be honest, our fair experience has changed a bit over the years. When my wife and I first started dating years ago we were all about the rides, and a little about the food. Now we're all about the food, and don't really do the rides as much.

Maybe we're just getting older, but we can't do the rides like we used to. However, we can still plow through an order of Fried Oreos like we were 25. What's really fun is watching our daughter Maddie experience the fair. Last year when the fall fair was going on, she was only a few weeks old, so we didn't take her. But when the Spring Fair came around, she was there!

Maddie's Fair Experience

She's almost 14 months old, so she's still just a little too small for the rides, but she's not too small for the fair food. Maddie tried her first fair food yesterday. When we took her in the Spring, she wasn't eating much solid food yet. That's not the case now! She had some salt and vinegar fries, and even tried her first Fried Oreo!

We also took her through the petting zoo, and then just walked around for a while. Kelsey and I can't wait for next year when Maddie can start riding some of the rides and really get the full fair experience.

Lets Start With The Fries

Every year, Kelsey and I get the salt and vinegar fries. Maddie tried them for the first time this year.

Next up, we decided to let Maddie try a Fried Oreo. As you can see, she was ready for it!

We had our snacks, and now it was time to walk around.

Lets Feed The Camel!

Maddie isn't quite big enough for the rides at the fair yet, but she's big enough to help feed the camel and all of the other animals at the petting zoo.
