Luke Combs grew up in Ashville, North Carolina and was interested in pursuing a career in business. After his spark of fame, Combs decided to follow his passions and dreams of being a country artist. Now he is one of the most talked about artists in country music. When he returns home, he notices how different things are and how differently people treat him, but according to Luke Combs he’s still the same guy.
He didn’t start playing the guitar until he was 21 years old.
Luke’s No. 1 hit debut single, “Hurricane,” was written with one of his friends that was going through a breakup. His friend was adamant about not seeing his ex and wanted to avoid seeing her out if possible. This is what inspired the lyrics for the song. “You wrecked my whole world when you came, and hit me like a hurricane.”
He met his fiancé Nicole Hocking when he was a struggling artist in 2016. She supported him through all of his trials and tribulations and remains by his side today.
Luke embraces his country roots through his passions and hobbies: country music, fishing and enjoying the outdoors.
