Rodney Atkins performs onstage at Spotify House during CMA Fest at Ole Red on June 06, 2019 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Rodney Atkins was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and adopted by Margaret and Allan Atkins.

Rodney Atkins married Rose Falcon in 2013. Falcon is also an American singer songwriter whose songs have been recorded by Faith Hill, Lady Antebellum and Day of Fire. “She just encouraged me on so many different levels,” he says. “I really fell back in love with singing, and she was so important to that.”

Rodney has achieved 6 No.1 hit singles in his country music career.

Rodney’s song, “Watching You,” was written to capture the relationship that he has with his sons. He noticed that they would mirror the behavior that he presented to them and this was an awakening moment for him.

Rodney Atkins was named the Top New Male Vocalist at the 2006 ACM awards.
