If I’m being honest… there are a lot of Christmas movies I’ve never seen! Well, really, there are a lot of popular movies in general that I haven’t seen.  But, since it’s the holidays, I’m going to share a list of Christmas movies.  We’ll leave other movies for another day!

Christmas Movies

I can’t honestly tell you why I haven’t seen these movies. And on some of these, I have seen bits and pieces… because many of these are often shown on TV during the holiday season.  But I have decided between now and the end of this year, I will try to watch at least a few of these movies on my list.  I already have one saved to watch this weekend!

And don’t judge me. Ha!  I haven’t lived a sheltered life… I just haven’t had the opportunity or overwhelming desire to watch these movies. Even though so many people are stunned and tell me I should.  I will say… I have the WORST memory when it comes to movies anyway.  Someone will ask if I’ve seen a movie, and I can’t always remember if I have or not.  Unless the movie was REALLY good.

And even if I’ve seen the movie, most of the time I can’t tell you the details or storyline. Don’t even get me started on recognizing actors either! I’m amazed at people who can look at an actor and rattle off all the movies or shows they were in. I might recognize them, but chances are I won’t be able to pinpoint their movies! Sometimes I will look them up on IMDB because it drives me crazy not knowing!

Okay, enough of that… let’s get to it!

Here’s a list of Christmas movies I’ve never seen!

  • Die Hard

Depends on who you ask if this is actually a Christmas movie… But either way, I’ve never seen it.  So I really can’t judge whether it is or not. It did top the list of America’s Favorite Christmas Movies

  • The Nightmare Before Christmas

It’s true… Never saw this one.  And really never cared to. Maybe it’s just the whole “nightmare” in the name of it?  I don’t know why.

  • Love Actually

Honestly, I didn’t know this was a Christmas movie based on the title.  But apparently it’s the one that really made Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas” such a hit? Not saying I wouldn’t watch this one if I have the chance!

  • Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Pretty sure I’ve seen bits and pieces of the various “Grinch” movies… but never sat down and watched a whole movie.  And of course, I know the general story from reading Dr. Seuss growing up.

  • A Christmas Carol

I think there are at least a couple versions of “A Christmas Carol” but I don’t think I’ve seen a single one.

  • It's A Wonderful Life

This one is on every Christmas movie list… and usually ranks really high. And I remember seeing bits and pieces of it when I was growing up because they would air it often during the holiday season.  Maybe because it was in black and white it just didn’t hold my attention?

  • A Christmas Story

Shocker!  I know.  And again, I know it comes on SO many times during the holiday season, but I’ve never seen the whole thing.  I have heard the classic lines from the movie. But I couldn’t tell you much more about it.

  • National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

I posted about this on Facebook and shocked a bunch of people.  I may have seen parts of it… but never the whole movie. And I know there are classic lines from it. This one is set to record so I can watch it this weekend, I hope!
