New Artist Visit at Beasley Augusta – Dalton Dover
Every now and then, we have new artists who come through town. They will usually stop in and do a few acoustic songs for us and we get to learn a little bit about them! Since I’ve been here, a few I’ve seen are: Connor Smith, Tiera Kennedy, Jackson Dean, Neon Union, and Marynn Taylor. And today, we had a new artist visit from Dalton Dover!
Dalton is a Georgia native from Polk County, which is up around Rome. He told us his grandfather introduced him to country music through artists like Merle Haggard and Keith Whitley. We also learned that he was on The Voice back in 2019! According to Country Now, his performance earned a chair turn from Blake Shelton. He actually performed Keith Whitley’s “Don’t Close Your Eyes.”
After his brief time on The Voice, Dalton went on to build an organic fan base through social media. He has a massive following on TikTok, where he’s shared many cover songs, and even some mashups.
Dalton has an amazing voice. And you can tell he’s super humble! He’s also a family man. You could see his face light up when we asked about his kids.
While he was here, he played his upcoming single, “Giving Up On That”. But he also did a cover of Keith Whitley and Merle Haggard too!
Here’s a little bit of Keith Whitley:
It’s always a great day when we have a new artist to stop by Beasley Augusta!
