Josiah Siska Stopped By Beasley Augusta
Today, Josiah Siska stopped by Beasley Augusta! Josiah is another new, up-and-coming artist. But, you might recognize him from American Idol. Although he has added some facial hair and grown his hair out since then. He was on American Idol in 2016. But he was sent home during Hollywood Week, according to Gwinnett Daily Post. For his audition, Josiah performed a Johnny Cash song!

Now, Josiah is on a radio tour, visiting various stations around the country! And we were so glad that Augusta was on his route!
Josiah is a Georgia boy, just like our last new artist who stopped by! He’s a singer and songwriter from Dacula, which is in Gwinnett County. Siska signed his record and publishing deals back in October of 2019 with Black River Entertainment (same label as Harlem’s own, Ray Fulcher!).
He performed a Southern Gospel type song first called “Better Man.” Then he sang “Three Chords At A Time,” and his upcoming single, “3 Tequila Floor.” See the video for that one below!
Josiah shared about growing up as a preacher’s kid… and described what most of us think when we hear that term– a bit rebellious. But he’s since come back around. He talked about how his dad would try to teach him things… but it was through music that Josiah really heard the message! That’s where his song “Three Chords At A Time” came from!
Here’s a little piece of “3 Tequila Floor” from today’s acoustic performance:
I really enjoyed his deep, unique sound! You can definitely tell he has a passion for music and enjoys playing his music. Another thing we all noticed was his storytelling in his songs. That’s one thing that you heard a lot of back in classic country, and it’s great to see it making a comeback!
