My wife and I are learning what our toddler’s favorite things to do are. Can y’all believe that Maddie is going to be two next month?! I can tell you with 100% certainty that these have been the fastest two years of my life. Another thing I can tell you is that we’re in a sometimes difficult, but really fun time in our daughter’s life right now.
The Toddler Stage Is Fun And Exhausting
Some of our toddler’s favorite things to do right now include giving hugs and kisses. I can’t tell you how sweet it is when that little voice says “hugs” and then comes up and wraps her arms around me. It is one of the best feelings that I’ve ever felt, and it doesn’t matter how many times she does it, it will never get old.
Maddie is really talking now! She’s learned her numbers, colors, and ABCs! She can also say what she does and doesn’t want to do. If what we’re asking is something she wants to do, we usually hear “Yeah!” or “Okay!”. However, if what we’re asking is not something Maddie is into, she’s not afraid to give us a very loud “NO!”.
She also says “Hi” and “Bye” to everyone, and she’s not afraid to tell you when she wants some cookies or some gummies, or when she wants to watch her show. But definitely our favorite thing to hear Maddie say is “I love you”.
I say that this phase is fun and exhausting because another one of our toddler’s favorite things to do is run! She has so much energy, and whether it’s at the house or at the playground, she’s ready to go go go, and you’d better be ready to keep up!
