“Jesus Take The Wheel” would be the first of 16 Number One Songs, It sold over 3 million singles. It spent 6 weeks at number one on the country chart. Then it crossed over to Christian Radio peaking at number 4 and Top 40. And would become a top 20 hit for Carrie.
“Jesus, Take the Wheel” won the Grammy Awards for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and Best Country Song and it won Single of the Year at the 2005 ACM Awards.
