Let’s get out the cake and candles and celebrate. Today’s Country Music Fact Of The Day is celebrating the birth of Kelsea Ballerini!
On September 12, 1993, Kelsea Nicole Ballerini was born in Knoxville Tennessee to parents Ed and Carla Ballerini. Kelsea’s father Ed, Was a Sales Manager at a Country music Radio Station in Knoxville. So I guess the love of Country Music started very early.
As a kid, Kelsea wrote her first song when she was just 12. Then she moved to Nashville just 3 short years later when she turned 15th.

Kelsea moved to Nashville when she was 15 with her family. She finished High School and went to Lipscomb University for two years and was then signed to Black River Entertainment when she was just 19!
She released her debut album in 2014 and boy did she break some records and make some history at the same time. The first song from This Time was “Love Me Like You Mean It” Now this song went straight to number one on the charts. She was the first female to have her debut song go #1 since Carrie Underwood did it in 2006. Then the number one’s started. “Dibs”, “peter Pan”, “Legends”, and “Half Of My Home Town” With Kenny Chesney.
Grand Ole Opry
On March 5, 2019, while playing The Grand Ole Opry, Kelsea was shocked and stunned when asked by Little Big Town to become a member of the Opry. She said yes of course and became a member on April 16 of 2019 as Carrie Underwood inducted her
