These are the best scary movies for a date night. Its spooky season, and if you’re having a date night with your significant other check out some of these movies.

The folks over at the streaming service Peacock teamed up with the folks at Tinder to perform this survey. I would consider myself sort of an expert on horror movies. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve enjoyed horror movies. Honestly they don’t really scare me. Most times I just watch them and appreciate the special effects.

My wife, on the other hand, hates horror movies. When it comes to Halloween, she wants to watch movies like “Hocus Pocus” or “Halloweentown”. Of course theres nothing wrong with that. For me, however, Halloween is all about horror movies, and I love the classics. So I was glad to see a bunch of what I consider “classics” made this list.

I’ll give you the top five in just a minute, but first let’s take a look at the other movies that made the top ten.

6. “Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey”
7. “Paranormal Activity”
8. “Get Out”
9. “The Exorcist”
10. “Saw X”

Of those, I’ve seen “Paranormal Activity” and “The Exorcist”. I will say that the first couple of “Paranormal Activity” movies did freak me out a little, just because of the way they were made. It made them look really real! If you want to check out another list of the best horror movies, just click here

Here are the top five best scary movies to watch on a date night this spooky season.

  • "Halloween"

It’s a classic! And there are a bunch to choose from. Of course you have all of the original ones, but there have been several reboots and spin off movies as well.

  • "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre"

Another classic, and another franchise that gives you plenty of movies to choose from. Like “Halloween” you’ve got all of the original sequels, but also several reboots as well.

  • "Chucky"

The top three on this list are nothing but classics, and I love it. The original Chucky movie was called “Child’s Play”, but this is another franchise where you have multiple sequels and reboots to keep you busy all spooky season long.

  • "The Purge"

This one is more of a modern classic, but its another one with plenty of sequels. I watched the original one, but after the first few sequels they kinda lost me.

  • "Saw"

Like “The Purge”, the “Saw” movies are more modern classics. I’ve seen the first couple, but also like “The Purge”, they lost me after the first few sequels. However, between the “Purge” movies and the “Saw” movies, you’ll have plenty to watch the rest of the month.
