What are the greatest movie quotes of all time? I mean we all love quoting a line from a great movie right? Of course we do. Anytime I can slide a random movie quote into a conversation, I feel like its a good day! Lets dive in and look at the best of the best.

This list comes from the American Film Institute, so you know its legit. They’ve compiled this list of the 100 greatest movie quotes of all time. So what is it that makes a great quote? I think it has to be something that everyone gets right off the bat. Odds are it either comes from a movie thats considered a classic, or at least one a lot of people have seen.

I think it has to be one that stands the test of time. Whether it was said 50 years ago, or last week, it still makes sense. A good line definitely has to be timeless. I’ll give you an example, here is a line that landed at number 23 on the list. “There’s no place like home”. We all know what movie that came from. Thats a great quote, and you can use it all the time.
