Garth Brooks’ Next Dive Bar Tour Stop Is In Bakersfield
Garth Brooks has announced the second stop for his 2019 Dive Bar Tour. Brooks will perform at Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace on a date that has yet to be announced.
The venue was it envisioned and built by Country Music Hall of Famer Owens years ago. It’s also a spot that has special meaning to Garth and wife Trisha Yearwood.
He said, “Anybody that knows Miss Yearwood and I’s past…we got engaged at Crystal Palace. The next ‘Dive Bar’ is the Crystal Palace, Bakersfield, California. This is going to be fun!”
He continued, “What I love about the dive bars is it’s got all the electricity of the stadium show, and it’s packed in this little room. Stadiums are the right size for ‘That Summer,’ ‘Friends in Low Places,’ ‘The Thunder Rolls,’ ‘Dive Bar.’ Those songs fill up that stadium. But I’ve also gotta tell ya – they’re so much at home in a honky-tonk. So, Bakersfield! Here we come!”
Garth popped the question to Trisha during an event at the Crystal Palace in May 2005.
Brooks posted a test last night to Instagram, “Announcing: The NEXT stop on the #DiveBarTour is … love, g Watch #StudioG on Facebook to find out.”
