Kane Brown: ‘I’ll Never Leave Country Music’
Kane Brown frequently collaborates with artists outside of country music; today he released a new EP (Mixtape) with appearances by John Legend, Nelly, Swae Lee and Khalid.
Brown told us earlier this week, “When I was starting to get into the music business, I always would tell my friends ‘I want to be an artist that can do everything.'”
But he noted that, “I think rap would be the only thing that I would hold out of my category.”
Kane continued, “I love music in general. It’s awesome. Country music always has my heart. I’ll never leave country music. But it’s cool to be able to do all these things.”
Brown’s latest single is his collaboration with Nelly “Cool Again.”
Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s.
Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
