WATCH: Lee Brice Has A Message For His CMA Replacement, Charles Kelley
After being diagnosed with COVID-19 ahead of this week’s CMA Awards, Lee Brice is now in quarantine.
Lee was scheduled to perform his hit with Carly Pearce, “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” but that’s obviously not happening. Rather than replacing the performance or have Carly sing it as a solo, Lady A’s Charles Kelley has stepped in to sing Lee’s part.
“I’m excited to see my buddy Charles Kelley CRUSH it,” Lee said, before launching into a parody of the duet, dedicated to Carly and his CMA stand-in.
The CMA Awards air live from Nashville tonight (11/11) at 8:00 P.M. on ABC.
