According to PEOPLE, Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis are set to star in a new Prime Video series. The new show is based on the Kay Scarpetta novels by Patricia Cornwell. And while I’ve never read these novels, I’m definitely interested now!
Nicole Kidman will play the role of Dr. Kay Scarpetta, a crime-solving medical examiner. And for those of you who don’t already know… I love anything that’s related to crime: true crime, crime shows, documentaries, etc. In this show, Jamie Lee Curtis will play the role of Kidman’s sister, Dorothy.
Another cool thing about this show is Kidman and Curtis will serve as executive producers. From the PEOPLE article, the expectation is for the show to get a two-season order, with each season having eight episodes.
While Amazon has not confirmed the news, Cornwell (the author of the novels) posted a photo on Instagram that may be confirmation. It’s a photo of Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis in front of some of Cornwell’s popular titles.
And note the caption: “Scarpetta friends, we’ve waited 33 years for this…”
In the mean time… it sounds like I might need to check out some of these books from Patricia Cornwell! I’m always on the hunt for new books to read.

The research shows that 50.9% of Americans start watching TV between 9 pm and 11 pm. 42% stop watching TV between 11 pm and 1 am.
A spokesperson from the mattress brand commented: “It’s common for us to want to enjoy our favorite TV shows before bed, however too much artificial light, especially right before we think we might try to fall asleep, can increase our alertness and impair our ability to fall asleep naturally.”
They advised, “So, if you are wanting to watch TV before bed it is recommended to switch it off 30 minutes before you are about to sleep so as to allow your mind to prepare for a good night’s sleep.”
There is a wide range of shows that Americans fall asleep to, but below are the top 10 shows that respondents favor:
