More businesses are entering the area, and a few new ones are already open. This area continues to grow at a rapid pace. Here are some of the New Businesses Coming To Augusta-Aiken Area
Coffee And Bar-B-Que
Behind the new performing arts center in Columbia County is Goat Kick Coffee, a micro-roastery. This location is their second one in the area, and it’s located at Evans Towne Center Shop, and this location has seating inside. According to their website, “Goat Kick Coffee Co was started with a mutual dream between two families in Evans, Georgia. Family-owned and operated, Goat Kick aims to keep the community at the heart of our coffee”.
I also heard a rumor about a new bar-b-que restaurant on Robert C Daniel Parkway in the old Macaroni Grill location. Jim N’ Nick’s Community Bar-B-Que. They also have restaurants in the Atlanta area. Not sure when this will happen.
Car Wash And Custard
Moby’s Car Wash in North Augusta is now open on Martintown Road across from Wifesaver in North Augusta. Moby’s is the third drive-through car wash in North Augusta.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers is going to be just down the road from Moby’s Car Wash on Martintown Road in the old Monterrey Mexican site. According to their website, “Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers® was co-founded in 2002 by brothers Bill and Randy Simon with their friend and business partner, Scott Redler. It was named in honor of Bill and Randy’s father. Together, they built a brand focused on quality, hospitality, cleanliness, and timeless traditions”.

North Augusta’s second Chick-fil-A will be next to Wendy’s at Exit 5. I’ve heard it should be open in early 2024.
Italy Comes To Aiken
New Olive Garden by Publix on Whiskey Road should be open in the fall. Olive Garden will be located at the former Golden Corral location.
