Atlanta Named One Of The Best Beer Cities In America
When you think of the term “beer scene,” often a place with a wide array of breweries and friendly pubs come to mind. USA Today 10Best recently dove into major beer scenes across major markets. They found that Atlanta ranks as one of the top beer cities in America.
“Stellar collections of established and up-and-coming breweries, beer bars, brewpubs, beer festivals, and even thriving homebrewing communities where novice brewers can get their foot in the door” is how 10Best describes the attributes of those cities that ranked in the top 10.
Not only was Atlanta the only city in Georgia to be named, it was one of just two in the south.
Atlanta Ranks #9
Grand Rapids, Michigan, takes the crown as the best beer city in America. Minneapolis, Minnesota just snuck in at #10. What’s encouraging about Atlanta’s placement is that it appears the city is supporting small businesses’ brewing efforts. 10Best states, “Atlanta’s craft beer scene has exploded in recent years, thanks in large part to numerous newcomers opening up their taps each year.”
Furthermore, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution explains, “There are now more than 50 breweries and brewpubs that serve their own craft beers in metro Atlanta, with several more slated to open in the coming months.”
Atlanta Beer Festivals is your one-stop shop for all relative beer event information in the greater metro area. They state their initiative is “helping Atlanta celebrate beer.”
Are you heading to Truist Park soon to watch the first-place Atlanta Braves? If so, you will find locally-brewed Terrapin Beer available all over the stadium.
Atlanta Brewing Company was started in 1993 by a former Guinness executive. They currently have six different beers available. Their taproom is located at 2323 Defoor Hills Rd NW. You can visit ABC’s taproom on Thursday night for their weekly fun trivia night. It includes a food truck onsite.
Georgia Destination Named A Best Tiny House Hotel
A recent report by Shermans Travel detailed the 10 best Tiny House hotels in America, and a Georgia destination made the list. “Tiny homes are one of the hottest residential design trends right now,” they explain.
In addition, Realtor.com published a story last year that gave readers a glimpse of what exactly is going on with the Tiny House trend in America. But what is a Tiny House? Typically, they are 100 to 400 square feet. Many of them (though not a requirement) are situated in quieter areas. It is very common to find tiny home communities tucked within nature, in a peaceful and serene setting.
Other common attributes include creative ways to establish storage space and loft beds. They are often energy-efficient simply due to the smaller footprint requiring less utility power.
“If you’re considering the tiny-home lifestyle, take it for a test drive before you hire a builder and go all-in,” Realtor explained. That is another reason why having such Tiny House hotel options is helpful. It gives those who are interested a chance to try it out.
Live A Little Chatt – Rising Fawn, Georgia
Located just 30 miles outside Chattanooga, Live A Little Chatt has three Tiny Houses on the property to stay at. “It’s evident that each was built with love and intention,” Shermans Travel explains. The Old Blue Chair house accommodates up to five guests, while the Shangri-Little and Wandering Gypsy can sleep three people.
Visitors to Rising Fawn Georgia are in close proximity to Cloudland Canyon State Park. That’s where you will find hiking trails and two waterfalls. However, there is also nothing wrong with staying on the hotel grounds to embrace the simple environment around you to unwind fully.
Each of the three options at this Georgia destination that was named in the list of best Tiny House hotels is uniquely different from each other. “We strive to give you the place to find your bliss and live deliberately.” Live A Little Chatt says.
