Georgia-Carolina State Fair
The Georgia-Carolina State Fair is from Friday, October 13th through Sunday the 22nd at the fairgrounds on Hale Street in Augusta. Fair times will be Monday – Friday, 5 PM to 10 PM, with rides staying open until 11 PM. Saturday and Sunday hours are Noon til 10 PM, and rides are open until 11 PM.
Monday – Thursday admission is $8 with $25 unlimited ride tickets. Friday – Sunday admission is $8 with $30 unlimited ride tickets.
Columbia County Fall Fair
Columbia County Fair is from Thursday, November 2nd through Sunday, November 12th. The fairgrounds are on Columbia Road in Grovetown. Gate admission is $10.00 each day. Unlimited rides weeknights are $25 and weekends are $30.
Western-Carolina State Fair
The Western-Carolina State Fair will be from Friday, October 13th to Sunday, October 22nd. The magic pass starts at 5 PM on opening night. $35 unlimited rides. Fairgrounds are located at 561 May Royal Drive in Aiken. Admission is $10 for ages 11 and older. Ages 10 and under, free. You can buy advance gate tickets for $8 and Mega Pass for $30 at their website.
Fair Food!
My favorite fair food is vinegar fries and corndogs. But I also love deep-fried Snickers, and I just found out about a deep-fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I’m not exactly sure how they make that happen, but more power to ’em!
