Kelsea Ballerini’s ‘Vibe’ On Taylor Swift Travis Kelce Romance
Kelsea Ballerini has been a friend to Taylor Swift over the years. And she performed on Saturday Night Live when Chiefs football star Travis Kelce hosted. So, at the People Choice Country Awards in Nashville, a reporter for Extra asked about the most talked-about romance of the year.
Kelsea said, “Listen, I have no skin in this game, but I love Travis. We did SNL together. I love Taylor. We were close for many years. And I want happiness for everyone. So: vibe.”
Ballerini was also asked where her boyfriend, Chase Stokes, was. She shared that he did attend rehearsals for the award show. However, he had to go to Los Angeles for work. The singer also said she showed him around the Grand Ole Opry on his first visit there. She noted that he was “doing his thing,” and she was doing hers.
And yes, she said that her boyfriend is a fan of country music and is from Georgia. She quipped that she got herself a “country boy,” and there was no need to worry.
So, will Kelsea ever enter Stokes’ world of acting? She said, “Never say never,” revealing that for the “longest time,” she said she would never get into acting because it scared her. Ballerini admitted she was “scared of failure.” Then she said that she is “really open” to it right now.

Ballerini recently hit another career milestone when she was included in Time’s 2023 100 Next list.
In the Time article, where she graces the cover of the popular magazine for the first time, she talks about her new EP, Rolling Up The Welcome Mat. The project is a bunch of songs she wrote after her divorce from her husband of five years, Morgan Evans. Time also notes her many milestones in 2023, from appearing on Saturday Night Live for the first time to performing her “fun” murder song “If You Go Down (I’m Going Down Too)” alongside four drag queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Kelsea tells Time in an interview that happened in August that her EP is unlike any other body of work she’s ever made. She added that this EP was different because she had just released her album in September (Subject To Change) and was going through a massive life shift. Kelsea said she was writing the EP in her “scarce time off.” She admitted not telling her management or record label about her work. She said that the project was very “cathartic” and that there is such “pureness” to the record that she believes that is the reason it connected with people so much.
