At some point everyone has thought about or dreamed about having the superpower to be able to fly. Aside from skydiving and hang-gliding, the closest human beings can get to actually being able to fly freely through the open air is partaking in ziplining. Vacation Idea recently listed the 20 best zipline courses in the country, and a Georgia location was named.
“Soaring above the treetops, attached to a thick wire and propelled by gravity, is a fantastic way to get an adrenaline rush and to see some of the surrounding area, whether you’re in the mountains, flying through a thick forest, or above a death-defying canyon,” they say.
Each scenario is possible when you partake in ziplining at the places mentioned in the feature. Regardless of the atmosphere you are zipping through, many zipline attributes are the same no matter where you go. In fact, most of these adventure centers allow guests of all experience levels. From first-timers to zipline enthusiasts, many of these courses also have their lines set to certain experience levels, similar to that of a ski mountain.
It starts with a tutorial on how to get properly set up and handle the gear. Then, it’s imperative you understand how to climb the tree or platform to which the zipline is attached. Once you have reached the top, connecting your harness to the zipline properly is another element to flying safely. These two steps can often be the most challenging parts. So now that we are atop the two-foot platform on the 100-foot tree, let’s explore this Zipline course in Georgia that was named among the best in the country.
Historic Banning Mills Zip Line Tours
Located at 205 Horseshoe Dam Rd, in Whitesburg, Historic Banning Mills is a world record holder. In fact, this is the home to the longest zipline canopy tour and the tallest free-standing rock wall in the world.
Historic Banning Mills also has cottages and treehouses onsite available to rent. Their zipline tours are broken out by levels. The first is a forest and woodland tour. There are then flight pattern tours, ranging from 1.5 hours to three hours in length. Finally, there’s the extreme level tour. You must have completed the first three levels as a prerequisite. This thriller lasts up to four hours and includes a glide over the Sky Trek, and a 600-foot-long monster suspension bridge over 100 feet above the creek.

Georgia Destination Named A Best Tiny House Hotel
A recent report by Shermans Travel detailed the 10 best Tiny House hotels in America, and a Georgia destination made the list. “Tiny homes are one of the hottest residential design trends right now,” they explain.
In addition, Realtor.com published a story last year that gave readers a glimpse of what exactly is going on with the Tiny House trend in America. But what is a Tiny House? Typically, they are 100 to 400 square feet. Many of them (though not a requirement) are situated in quieter areas. It is very common to find tiny home communities tucked within nature, in a peaceful and serene setting.
Other common attributes include creative ways to establish storage space and loft beds. They are often energy-efficient simply due to the smaller footprint requiring less utility power.
“If you’re considering the tiny-home lifestyle, take it for a test drive before you hire a builder and go all-in,” Realtor explained. That is another reason why having such Tiny House hotel options is helpful. It gives those who are interested a chance to try it out.
Live A Little Chatt – Rising Fawn, Georgia
Located just 30 miles outside Chattanooga, Live A Little Chatt has three Tiny Houses on the property to stay at. “It’s evident that each was built with love and intention,” Shermans Travel explains. The Old Blue Chair house accommodates up to five guests, while the Shangri-Little and Wandering Gypsy can sleep three people.
Visitors to Rising Fawn Georgia are in close proximity to Cloudland Canyon State Park. That’s where you will find hiking trails and two waterfalls. However, there is also nothing wrong with staying on the hotel grounds to embrace the simple environment around you to unwind fully.
Each of the three options at this Georgia destination that was named in the list of best Tiny House hotels is uniquely different from each other. “We strive to give you the place to find your bliss and live deliberately.” Live A Little Chatt says.
