This Early Randy Houser Song Highlights His Powerful Vocals
I’ve got an early Randy Houser song that I’m featuring on Dub’s Playlist this week. This is a song you may have never heard. It also might be a song that you’ve heard before, but forgot about it. This song was actually Randy’s first single to country radio, and I’ll never forget the day I heard it for the first time. And the first time I heard it, Randy sang it live!
First Time I Heard This Randy Houser Song
It was 2008, and we were told that a new artist was coming by to play some songs for us. Turns out that new artist was a guy named Randy Houser. Randy performed for the staff here at the station. He played us several songs, but the one that stuck out the most was a song called “Anything Goes”. Just the way he sang it was amazing!
Randy has one of the best voices in country music, and he really captured us with “Anything Goes”. I would venture to say that it’s my favorite Randy Houser song.
Of course Randy has become a favorite of the CSRA. Randy played A Day In The Country back in the day, he’s headlined at The Miller Theater, also he’s played Rock Fore Dough. He’s played Kicks99’s Guitar Pull twice, and has stolen the show both times. When you hear Randy sing live, there’s nothing like it.
Randy also has another special tie to the CSRA. He was featured in the movie “The Hill”, which was filmed all around the CSRA. I’ll be honest, Randy did a really good job in the movie. If you haven’t seen it yet, definitely check it out, it’s streaming on Netflix. It’s going to be really cool to see Randy back in the area coming up at Rock Fore Dough April 9th.
