This Pizzeria In Edgefield Is Celebrating
Happy 2nd anniversary to Mario’s Pizzeria in Edgefield. On July 20th, Mario’s Pizzeria celebrated two years of being in business right in the heart of downtown Edgefield. I’ve had the pizza from Mario’s a few times, but I had never been in to sit down and try something other than the pizza. Let me tell you, that was a task within itself, because it’s hard to not have the pizza when you go to Mario’s.
Mario’s Pizzeria Is More Than Just Pizza
On my first sit down trip to Mario’s Pizzeria in Edgefield, I went with the Meatball Sub. The Meatball Sub is one of my all time favorite subs. Let me tell you, this one did not disappoint. The meatballs were home made, and the sauce, oh my, so fresh and so tasty. This sub was so big that that you had to use the ol’ knife and fork to eat it.
So from the appetizers of stuffed mushrooms, wings and garlic knots to pasta, STROM-Boli (STROM, See what they did there?) to the more than 14 different varieties of pizza, there’s something for everyone.

And I just about left off the best part of my trip to Mario’s Pizzeria. THE DESSERTS. I’m not normally one for sweets but I figured I blew my diet, why not. They offer a full selection of pies and cakes daily that are made locally by the owners. There is one dessert that I can not pass on no matter where I go and that’s Peanut Butter Pie. Here’s why:
