Georgia Vs Clemson Plus More Week One College Football Picks
It’s time to make my week one college football picks! Yes! College football is officially back! I know that there were some games last weekend, but there are sooo many more games this weekend. Everybody will be playing this weekend. I love picking football games, and from now until mid-February, I’ll get to do this every week!
Which Teams Am I Picking For Week One Of College Football?
Typically I do these picks on Fridays, but I’m going to be out of town this weekend, so you’re getting them a couple of days early. I didn’t think you’d mind. I’m picking five games for this week. Usually, when college football and the NFL are going, I’ll pick three college games and three pro games. However, since it’s just college this week, I’ll give you five of the biggest college games.
Here are my college football picks for week one.
-1 Georgia Vs 14 Clemson Saturday at Noon on ABC. This game will be played at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, and it should be a pretty close one. Georgia and Clemson always play each other close. In fact the last time Georgia played Clemson it was a 10-3 game. Right now, Georgia is favored by 13.5, now I think they’ll win, but I like them more by 10. This should be one of the best games on the weekend, I only wish it was in primetime and not at Noon.
-8 Penn State @ West Virginia Saturday at Noon on FOX. I’ll be honest, I don’t really have a lot of knowledge on either team at this point, so this will be a bit of a random pick. Penn State is favored by 8, however, they’re playing on the road, and it’s week one. Give me Penn State, but I’ll take them by 6.
-19 Miami @ Florida Saturday at 3:30 on ABC. Miami is favored by 2.5 in this game, but I’m calling for the upset here. Florida has one of the toughest schedules in college football, and I think they want to try and make a statement early. As a Georgia fan, it hurts me to pick Florida, but I’m picking them to win a close one at home. Give me The Gators by 3.
-7 Notre Dame @ 20 Texas A&M Saturday at 7:30 on ABC. Texas A&M is favored by 3 in this game, and I think this will be another close one. Is Notre Dame for real? They’re always ranked going into the season, but is that real, or is that just because it’s Notre Dame? Playing in College Station is not easy, so that’s why I’m picking The Aggies by 6 or less.
-23 USC vs. 13 LSU Sunday at 7:30 on ABC. This game will be played in Las Vegas and LSU is favored by 4. These are two more teams that I’m not as familiar with at this point in the season, I’m looking forward to seeing them both play, but this will be another random pick. Give me LSU by 3 in Vegas.
