Dolly Parton And Others Release ‘Pink’ For Breast Cancer
Dolly Parton joined Monica, Jordin Sparks, Sara Evans and Rita Wilson (who is a breast cancer survivor) in the fight against breast cancer, releasing a new song, “PINK.”
This special collaboration benefits Susan G. Komen, the world’s leading breast cancer organization.
The lyrics and vocals provide listeners with hope for a future when no one loses someone they love to breast cancer and “PINK is just another color.”
Dolly said, “This is such a beautiful song of hope. I’m honored to join with these powerful women to help support Susan G. Komen’s life-saving work.”
Each year breast cancer kills more than 42,000 women and men in the U.S. alone. Since 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed at some point in her lifetime, nearly everyone has or will be touched by this disease, whether personally or by someone they love.
Faith Hill posted to her Instagram, “In honor of breast cancer awareness month and in honor of two of my closest friends who have battled breast cancer, as well as friends and colleagues who have battled breast cancer – This song is for you. And to all the brave women and men that are continuing the fight and to those who have dedicated their lives to finding a cure – This beautiful song is for you. Please do what you can.”
