Dolly Parton Reveals How She Communicates With Friends
Dolly Parton differs from most of us who text or email when we want to contact our friends or workmates. Dolly has one form of communication that she uses most of all, even though it seems 20 years in the past; Dolly told The View this week while promoting her new fashion book that if anyone wants to get a hold of, send her a fax.
Parton was asked about her fellow country queen Reba’s reveal that she does not have Dolly’s phone number. She said, “I never did get involved in all that because it’ll take up too much of my time if I tried to get in touch with everybody who is trying to get in touch with me.”
She added, “So, I just say, ‘Fax me! Fax me or call me, and I’ll call you back.'”
Parton then said that it always aggravated her duet partner and good friend, the late Kenny Rogers. She told him she would send him a message by “carrier pigeon” if she needed to get a hold of him, joking that he always seemed to be able to get in touch when he “wanted something.”
She added that she doesn’t get involved in tech communication because she is “surrounded by enough people.”

Reba told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live last week during his “Textual Behavior” segment when he asked about talking to Dolly on the phone or texting that she doesn’t have Parton’s phone number. Reba said matter of factly, “Dolly does not text.” She added that she asked Kenny Rogers once if he had Parton’s phone number, and he said no.
Miley Cyrus, who is Dolly’s Goddaughter, said a few years back that even she doesn’t have the music icon’s phone number and also has to fax when she wants to get a hold of her.
