Guitar Pull Artists Up For CMA Awards

KICKS 99’s Guitar Pull is Tuesday, November 14th, and two of the artists are nominated for a CMA on Wednesday night’s awards show live from Nashville. The CMA Awards are always fun to watch!

Lady A is up for Group of The Year and Megan Maroney is up for Song of the Year, “Tennessee Orange”, and New Artist of the Year.

Outside of Guitar Pull artists, Lainey Wilson is having a big year. According to Billboard, Lainey Wilson is the top nominee for the 2023 CMA Awards, with nine nods. Wilson was also the top nominee last year, with six nods. Wilson is the first artist in CMA history to top the nominations list in her first two appearances on the final ballot.

Moreover, Wilson is just the fourth artist in CMA history to land nine or more nominations in a single year. She follows Merle Haggard (nine nods in 1970), Alan Jackson (a record ten nods in 2002), and Miranda Lambert (nine nods in both 2010 and 2014).
