Dolly Parton Congratulates Beyonce For Country Success
Dolly Parton has again proven herself to be country music’s Mama Bear by congratulating superstar Beyonce on her country music chart success with her country release “Texas Hold’ Em,” which topped the Billboard Country Singles chart.
Dolly posted a message to Instagram. The country music icon wrote, “I’m a big fan of Beyonce and very excited that she’s done a country album. So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single.”
She concluded, “Can’t wait to hear the full album! Love, Dolly.”
Many of Parton’s almost seven million followers commented on the post, including one fan who wrote, “Real queens support queens.” Another fan said, “Such a classy queen. I love you.” One more fa commented, “Real recognizes real! Dolly is a beacon of class. Instead of tearing others down, she uplifts everybody!” Even one more fan wrote, “Dolly has always been a real one!! We want that Jolene rendition, too!”

Lainey Wilson told Extra, her thoughts on Beyonce entering country music.
Lainey said, “I love it. I love it. The more, the merrier.” She added that country music is about storytelling and “making people feel at home,” and everyone wants to “feel at home.” When the reporter mentioned that Beyonce was getting some “backlash in the community,” Wilson quipped, “Everybody’s gonna have something to say about everything. I bet you wouldn’t say it to her face. I love Beyonce, yep.”
Beyonce’s song “Texas Hold’ Em” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Country Songs chart this week, making her the first Black female artist to hold the top spot. According to The New York Post, her other country single, “16 Carriages,” also released on February 11, debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard country chart. The songs reached No. 2 and No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100.
