Of all the people who have bars on Lower Broad in Nashville, I never thought I’d say that Hank Jr Is Getting Into The Bar Business. Yes, Hank Jr. is lending his name to a new just under 12,000 square feet bar that will have 3 levels with live music.
Reports from The Nashville Post say that Hank Williams JR. Boogie Bar will be located at 419 Broadway, located between Ernest Tubb’s Record Shop and AJ’s Good Time Bar, owned by Alan Jackson, and will be in the old Nashville Crossroads.
The partnership will be between Hank Jr and Big Plan Holdings, which is an investment company and will be opening the new Jon Bon Jovi bar currently in the works for downtown. Permits have been filed but there is no date as to when construction will begin or even an opening date.

For me personally, this will the second greatest Honky Tonk on Lower Broad. Nothing will ever top Tootsies. Even Hank Jr’s place will never be Tootsies.
