Technology gets wilder and wilder everyday. This new iPhone update is one that you will need to pay attention to,

Just about a week ago Apple released a new update IOS 17.5 and new updates are pretty common for Apple. When it comes to these updates, you have three types of people, those of us who do it the minute you get the update, then those who wait to see what’s in it and what bugs come with it and those who just don’t do it till they have to.

With the release of the new IOS 17 there seems to be a pretty big bug that for some people has pictures from as far back as 10 years showing back up after they have been deleted. When you delete a photo it tells you that you can recover it over the next 30 days.

Why Is This New iPhone Update Needed?

Well, the biggest part of the update is that it fixes the bug that is causing old photos to re-appear on your Apple devices. Some Apple users are reporting that photos from as far back as 10 years ago are showing up on their iPhone, iPad and Mac computers. So why is this new iPhone update needed?

Let’s say in the 10 year period you met the love of your life, married them and have been together for years now and you both allow access to each other’s Apple products, and pictures from your old relationship show up, that could cause a problem. Maybe you were in wild phase of your life and thought those days were behind you. Seeing these old photos could cause issues.

How Are These Photos Showing Up?

So just how do photos from 10 years ago just show back up on your phone, tablet and Mac if they have been deleted? That’s a very good question, isn’t it? We all know that using a smart phone, tablet and Mac loaded with apps that all that these folks are collecting and keeping data on all of us.

This should just prove that once it hits your phone or the internet, it’s there forever. You may not see it, but it’s there for someone to see. And this time, after 10 years or so, it was you seeing them show back up on your phone and other Apple products.

I personally believe that if you are an Apple product user and you get a new update, do it the minute you get it. They are daily working on security and data protection fixes. I will say that this one does raise my eyebrow just a bit, but it’s not anything that I didn’t already know.

If you haven’t updated lately, the first video here will walk you through the process needed for this new iPhone update.
