The South really starts with Southern Virginia, and works its way down to Florida and works its way over to Texas! Now don’t get me wrong, there’s a little bit of Southern in the North, The West Coast, and even in foreign countries!
What Is Southern Language?
For me, this topic started with Jess from The Kicks Wake Up Krew. Jess has lived in the south for a few years now. She is still learning just what the southern language is! When we say something she doesn’t understand she asks what that means. For example, I told her I would be ready to go in about an our! She said an hour, I said No, an our! She got it.
