Mass Shooting At Country Music Festival Claims The Lives Of At Least 59 People
Police in Las Vegas, Nevada confirmed at least 59 people have died after a mass shooting at a country music festival over the weekend.
The incident occurred overnight during the final evening of performances at the Route 91 Harvest Festival — held across the street from the Mandalay Bay Casino.
According to NBC News, the gunman has been killed.
In addition to the 59 confirmed fatalities, more than 500 people were injured during the ordeal.
A witness at the scene described what first sounded like firecrackers, but after people began to drop to the ground — it became evident that a gunman was shooting into the crowd.
