Actor From “Babe” Helped Save A Pig
I know it’s only Monday, but this may just be the highlight of the week! The actor from Babe helped save a pig last week! James Cromwell played the farmer in the movie Babe. And can I just say, I loved that movie when I was growing up! I couldn’t believe that movie was made almost 30 years ago. Well, apparently, that movie made Cromwell become a vegan, and also a big animal activist.
Cromwell is now 83 years old, but he’s still helping animals! Last week, he heard about a pig that fell off a truck. The pig had been en route to be fattened for slaughter. Cromwell, along with PETA, stepped in and had the animal transferred to a shelter in Pennsylvania. They even gave the pig the name… Babe. Because why not?!
I think the best part of all is when Cromwell Facetimes the pig and says he looks forward to meeting him in person. And at the end… he signs off with the classic line, “That’ll do, pig, that’ll do.”
This sweet little guy is NOT Easter dinner. He jumped off a transport truck and will now be traveling to an animal sanctuary to live a peaceful life. That’ll do pig. That’ll do. @peta pic.twitter.com/37t1GL1Z3v
