“TruffVels” From Velveeta and Compartés – Chocolate And Cheese
I will be the first to tell you that I LOVE chocolate. And I also LOVE cheese. But I can honestly say I have never had the two together. Could that be changing? Maybe! If I’m willing to drop about $25 on the new, limited-edition “TruffVels,” a chocolate and cheese combination. This unique paring is a result of a partnership between Velveeta and the chocolate company Compartés.
Of course, the name “TruffVels” is a mashup of “truffle” and “Velveeta.” These truffles are shaped like Velveeta’s shells and cheese. The outside will be made with white chocolate with food coloring to give them a yellow-orange color. And the inside will have the classic Velveeta cheese sauce.
Compartés is a chocolate company that produced high-quality, gourmet chocolates in unique flavors. But this combination of chocolate and cheese is a first for the company.
But if you remember, this isn’t the first unusual product from Velveeta. Back in 2022, the company released a nail polish that was orange-yellow in color and smelled like Velveeta cheese.
The TruffVels were released on May 9th on Compartes.com and will be available for a limited time. They are a bit pricey though, with a 5-pack priced at $24.95 while supplies last.
Now this isn’t the first time Velveeta has been used for something sweet. According to Mashed.com, Velveeta was actually used to make fudge!
What do you think? Would you try TruffVels, the chocolate and cheese combination?

Today is National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day! According to NationalDayCalendar.com, this day is celebrated on April 12th each year and spotlights a favorite comfort food for many! How could you possibly go wrong with bread and delicious, melty cheese? So, now we need to know where to get the best grilled cheese in Augusta!
The History Of A Grilled Cheese Sandwich
It seems the love for a combination of bread and cheese has been around for a while, according to food historians. They say it’s been enjoyed since ancient times! As for what we think of when it comes to a grilled cheese sandwich in the United States, that version originated in the 1920s.
During the 1920s, Americans had sliced bread and American cheese more easily available. They actually made open-faced grilled cheese sandwiches. Also, in US government cookbooks, Navy cooks broiled “American cheese filling sandwiches” during World War II.
According to a survey from YouGov, 97% of Americans have heard of a grilled cheese, and 83% like them. The grilled cheese also comes in at number 5 on the list of top American dishes.
Versatility
A grilled cheese sandwich is delicious! The warm bread with the melted cheese oozing with each bite is perfect on its own. But people often pair their sandwich with other things. Soup is a common companion to a grilled cheese.
Then there’s the cheese! These sandwiches can be made with many different kinds of cheeses. And some places even mix-and-match, putting 2 or more types of cheese together. But the sandwiches are most commonly made with American or cheddar cheese.
And of course, you can add to it! Personally, bacon makes a great addition to the sandwich. You could also add ham, for a hot ham and cheese sandwich. Some people also like to add tomato as well.
