New Restaurant to Takeover Known Chicken Spot in Appling, Ga
A New Restaurant is coming to take over Maryland’s Fried Chicken’s former Appling location, on Pollards Corner.
The new restaurant is called Grandaddy’s Kitchen and will specialize in Southern Cuisine.
The owners of the new spot are Bill and Melissa Hoard. While they are new to owning an actual restaurant, they have owned other businesses over the years, such as Appaloosa Moving and Storage.
Back in 2018, Melissa announced the becoming of Grandaddy’s Kitchen via Facebook.
Grandaddy’s Kitchen will have a variety of options on its menu, including hamburgers, hot dogs, fried okra, fresh-baked pizza, and pulled pork sandwiches. And Melissa’s homemade banana pudding. They are even thinking about adding breakfast to the menu after an influx of requests.
Once open, a change you will see is that they’ve replaced the booths with tables.
They will also not serve alcohol or lottery tickets.
There is no exact date on when this new Columbia County eatery will open, but check back here for updates.
